If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am only for myself, what am I? If not now, when?
Ok, this isn’t a fully fledged post as such. Me and H have been laughing over this for the past few days. And I just had to write about it. 😀
Our only offspring, Du, is 20 months old and is learning to talk. He has picked up a lot of words that we use daily. But he cannot form a full sentence yet.
The other day we witnessed a few instances of his usage of words and I’m grinning as I type this:
1. Du helps me put the washed clothes out to dry. So we took them out from the washing machine in a basket and he helped me bring it to the balcony. Once we kept the basket, I turned to reach out for the clips and I heard Du talking to the basket- “Seet daaauuuuu” (sit down!!). :O :O 😀 😀
2. Du has a big red car which is more like a stroller. It was lying upside down and I asked him to put it back in place. I laughed my heart out when I heard him telling the car- “Didduupp” (getup!!) 😀 😀 and he swung it by its handle and put it upright. 😀 😀
3. Du has 4 miniature people toys- Noma (Thoma), Chachi (Sasi 1), Chachi (Sasi 2) & Dinddan (Dingan). I was watching him play and he was transporting these people from one car to another. He picked up Chachi and told Noma – “Waayyt” (Wait!!) and then he came to pick up Noma and told him- “Come”. 😀 😀
My toddler is soon gonna bombard us with his endless questions and chatter. But for now, I enjoy his one-liners.
And its a joy to see your heart walking out of your body!! 😉
